Another Blair Job
Not in the red for long
Tony Blair's retirement won't be spent in penury (unlike that of other British pensioners). He's just taken a six-figure-salary job with Zurich Insurance as a "climate change adviser".
The Guardian says that the Swiss insurer could be forking out billions to pay for homeowners' claims after global-warming-related floods and droughts. Blair is on board in order to "advise on the implications" of climate change.
This brings Blair's earnings for the year to date to over £7million - this sum includes the near £6million advance he has secured for his memoirs.
